Newsletter late April 2026
I’m writing to you from Southern Italy. What stands out to me here is how different everything is.
Not better or worse, just different at the core. The way people interact, how the day unfolds, what
is considered important and what isn’t. Two thousand kilometers away from the Netherlands, and
sometimes it feels like I’ve stepped into a completely different reality. I like observing it. Not
to compare or judge, but simply to watch. How do people move through their day here, where is the
calm, where is the rush, what feels natural?
You might recognize this: that you only really see how you live when you step outside of it for a
moment. What it shows me every time is how easily you adapt to a certain rhythm, a certain way of
looking at things, without even noticing it anymore. Stepping out of your own context makes
everything visible again. And that does something. It opens things up, it softens, it takes you out
of autopilot.
The Path of Initiation — inhabiting your own field
Behind the scenes, I’ve been working for a while on developing what I call the Path of Initiation,
with the central theme of inhabiting your own field. A series of lessons that are not about
learning something new, but about bringing something that is already there back to the surface:
living in your own energetic field. Not as an idea, not as something you occasionally do in
meditation, but as a foundation. Being present behind your eyes, in your body, in your light body,
and in your own space.
It sounds simple, but in practice it turns out to be anything but obvious for most people. What I
find myself working through while writing this training is how to convey this without filling it in
for someone. Because this kind of work doesn’t fit into a step-by-step system you can just follow.
It asks for someone’s own experience, their own pace, and their own honesty.
I keep coming back to the same question: what is actually essential? Not what is interesting or
complete, but what truly helps someone reconnect with themselves. Where is the core, and where am I
adding things that aren’t really needed? That’s where I’m refining things. Less explanation, more
experience. Less filling in, more space, while still offering enough structure so someone doesn’t
get lost in it. It’s genuinely something I enjoy building!
What I’ve been seeing a lot in sessions lately
There’s a clear pattern in the sessions I’ve been doing lately. What stands out is that people are
no longer getting stuck on the surface level, but on a deeper layer that is less visible, but very
defining in how someone feels and moves through life. Many of the people I work with have already
done a lot. Therapy, coaching, trainings, personal development. They understand their patterns, can
often explain them very well, and still something isn’t shifting, as if they keep hitting the same
invisible wall. And that makes sense, because where many trajectories end, the work I do often
begins.
What I see now is that it’s no longer about understanding, but about embodiment. About actually
being present in yourself, instead of only being able to observe yourself. And that’s exactly where
things tend to go off. People feel a lot, they are tuned in, they pick up on everything, but they
are not fully present in their own field, and that’s where energy leaks, subtly but continuously.
Underneath that, there is often an old protective mechanism. Something that was learned at some
point to stay safe or to cope.
The movement that’s needed is not about fixing something, but about taking something back: your
place, your energy, your space. And that is a very different way of working than most people are
used to. In sessions, it’s often not about doing more, but about slowing down, feeling, and coming
back to what is already there. That’s not always comfortable, but it is honest. Once someone really
lands in themselves, things start to move, not forced, but naturally. Choices become clearer,
energy shifts, and what used to feel heavy starts to feel lighter. This is the phase many people
are in right now: it’s no longer about understanding, but about actually being present in
themselves.
New blogs
Generational trauma and family curses: breaking the line through soul work
Generational trauma and family patterns go deeper than your personal story. They are embedded in
the family line and can continue for generations without full awareness. In a reading, I look at
what is held in your field and work on releasing generational soul contracts. What you release does
not have to be carried forward.
Who am I after the breakup — about identity loss and returning to yourself
A breakup often goes deeper than the relationship itself. For many people, a part of their identity
disappears because their reference system has been intertwined with someone else for so long. In
this article, I write about what it takes to find yourself again, not through big changes, but
through small, honest movements back to yourself.
Highly sensitive and losing yourself in love — what your body is trying to tell
you
Many highly sensitive people recognize this pattern: in a relationship, your energy shifts, you
lose yourself, and your body becomes restless. In this blog, I explain what is actually happening
in your system and how to stay connected to yourself while being in connection with another.

A question I often get
“Can you feel things I don’t see, and can you just tell me what to do?” It’s not always asked so
directly, but it’s often what sits underneath. The need for clarity, for someone to say it out loud
so you know you’re on the right track. And that makes sense, especially when you’ve been stuck for
a while. At the same time, I see the same thing happening again and again. People already feel and
sense much more than they think, but there is doubt, or multiple layers are overlapping, making it
hard to follow yourself clearly. In a session, it’s not about me giving answers, but about making
visible what is already there. What feels right, what doesn’t, and where you might still be
stepping past yourself. And that’s where the shift happens. Not because I tell you what to do, but
because you can see and feel it yourself again. From there, direction emerges naturally, without
needing to question it.
Practical details
There is availability for sessions in May and June, both readings and therapeutic sessions. You can
book directly via the
website. If you feel like you’ve already done a lot but still keep running into
something deeper, this is often exactly the point where my work connects.
I am also actively looking for a new workspace. My current space is changing, and
I feel it’s time for something new that fits practically and allows me to work in a calm setting,
both during the day and in the evening.
I’m looking for a space where I can work with one or two clients at a time, without too much noise
or distraction. If you know of a place, or someone who has space available or would like to share,
I’d love to hear from you. You can email me at [email protected].
About the WhatsApp group
A few years ago, I started a WhatsApp group. At the time, that felt right, but I’m no longer part
of it. The energy of it has been complete for me, and I’ve consciously stepped out. I want to be
clear about that here, so it’s transparent where I am and am not involved. If you feel like your
details are being used somewhere, or that you’ve been added to a group that doesn’t feel right,
know that this is not coming from me. Take a moment to check which group you’re in and who added
you, and feel free to leave if it doesn’t sit right.
For now
It’s holiday time now, and I notice it immediately shifts the rhythm. A bit more space in the days,
and at the same time the opportunity to keep building. I’m working a lot on the Path of Initiation
and the search for a new workspace, and I can feel things starting to move there.
I’d genuinely like to see you in a reading. If you feel it’s time to look at something or open
something up, you’re welcome.
All the love,
Hilde
