Newsletter February 2026

Newsletter February

In my previous newsletter I wrote about turning inward, closing cycles, and the natural rhythm of this time of year. The past weeks were fully dedicated to that movement for me. Slowing down, deepening, and creating space after a beautiful year. No full schedule, but silence, nature, reflection, and stepping out of the daily flow for a while.

After Australia I continued traveling through Thailand and Malaysia, visiting different islands and places where calm, openness, and simplicity naturally invite you to settle back into yourself. Days filled with sun, sea, stillness, and gentle movement, but above all with space to feel what wanted to integrate within me. Traveling in this way is not a holiday in the traditional sense for me, but a natural way of resetting and deepening. When the pace slows down, it often becomes clear what has been building over the past year and what now truly asks for attention.

In that stillness, what usually remains beneath the surface begins to show itself. Old themes seeking completion. New desires quietly emerging. Patterns that no longer match who you are becoming. It feels as if the system naturally starts clearing and recalibrating when there is space.

This newsletter is about that transition from stillness to deeper awareness. From creating space to gaining clarity. From closing chapters to gently moving forward. Because often it is after a period of rest that real change and growth begin to unfold.

Recent reflections on the blog

Over the past weeks I have explored several themes on the blog that closely connect to what many people are currently experiencing within themselves. In the article Why small irritations activate old trauma – and how to stop turning against yourself, I explain how everyday triggers often touch old layers of pain and why the nervous system can react so strongly. I share how these reactions develop, what they are trying to communicate, and how you can gradually build more inner safety and self-respect instead of self-criticism.

In Moving out of survival mode: how your body learns to relax and truly live, I describe the deeper shift that happens when your system begins to feel safe enough to let go. I explain what occurs in the body, why relaxation can first release stored emotions, and how this phase opens the door to greater calm, connection, and real presence in life.

The theme of letting go of what no longer fits is explored in Not participating is also growth: beyond yoga, meditation, and spiritual trends. Here I reflect on following your own rhythm instead of the next method or movement, and why real integration often comes through simplicity, honesty, and attunement to yourself.

I also write about life and connection while being on the move. In Living as a spiritual digital nomad: why deep connection does not need permanence, I explore temporary encounters, freedom, closeness, and how true connection is not dependent on fixed forms. In On the road and still at home – what home truly means as a digital nomad, I deepen this by showing how an inner anchor develops that allows you to feel grounded even while physically moving through different places.

Relationships and not losing yourself within connection are central in Losing yourself in relationships: about adaptation and staying true to yourself. In this piece I go deeper into people-pleasing, self-abandonment, and old survival strategies that often unconsciously shape relationships, and how to remain present without betraying yourself.

Finally, I focus on mental patterns in The mind-fuck cycle: how doubt turns into self-sabotage (and how to stop it), where I explain how inner doubt can grow into self-undermining behavior and how to recognize and interrupt this cycle. And in How I travel as a digital nomad: intuitively, aligned, and guided from within, I share how living and making choices from inner alignment looks in everyday life.

Together these blogs show what begins to surface when space is created within the system, how old patterns become visible, and how healing gradually takes shape in daily life. If you feel drawn to deeper understanding and recognition, you are warmly invited to explore them on the blog.

A moment of self-reflection

The themes in this newsletter and on the blog often reveal where old patterns are still active in everyday life. Not as something you are doing wrong, but as signals from your system. Taking a moment to reflect can bring clarity about what truly asks for attention.

You might gently ask yourself:

  • In which situations do I become irritated, hurt, or emotionally triggered most quickly?
  • With which people do I feel tension, the need to adapt, or the urge to diminish myself?
  • Where do I keep encountering the same problems or dynamics?
  • When does my body react more strongly than the situation seems to justify?
  • What lies beneath that first reaction: anger, sadness, fear, loneliness, or powerlessness?

And also reflect on longer-term patterns:

  • Where do I remain loyal to situations that actually drain my energy?
  • Where do I suppress my feelings to keep peace?
  • Where do I adapt while feeling something different inside?
  • And where do I sense that change is needed, even if it feels scary?

These questions are not meant to be solved immediately. They help you become more aware of what your system is showing you. Healing often begins not with knowing what to do, but with understanding why certain reactions keep returning.

Sessions and availability at Heelde

From February 19 onward I am offering both live and online sessions again. February is already filling up, and there is still plenty of availability in March and April.

In sessions we look together at what truly lies beneath your current challenges. Not only the surface situations, but the underlying patterns, emotions, and dynamics that influence them. This can involve relationships, past trauma, recurring blocks, family systems, inner conflicts, or life choices that feel stuck.

You choose the session that best fits your needs, such as a reading, therapeutic guidance, holistic EMDR, or a systemic session. Each session focuses on clarity, insight, and movement in a grounded and deeply respectful way.

Appointments can be booked easily via https://www.heelde.info/booking/

If you have questions or are unsure which session suits you best, you can always email [email protected].

What currently occupies my attention

What has been especially present for me lately is how clearly I see many people standing at a turning point in their lives. Not because of one single issue, but because the old familiar way of living no longer works naturally. Patterns that once provided stability now feel restrictive. Roles that used to make sense begin to feel uncomfortable. Choices that were once obvious are questioned. It feels as though something is shifting internally, making it impossible to return to how things were, while the new has not yet fully taken shape.

I see this especially in relationships, work, boundaries, and daily life. People notice they can no longer adapt without losing themselves. They feel tension more quickly when something is not aligned. Old loyalties are questioned within families, friendships, and work situations. Not from rebellion, but from a deeper awareness that life is meant to be more than enduring and pushing through.

This phase often brings uncertainty. The old still offers familiarity, even if it was uncomfortable, while the new has not yet formed. This can create doubt, restlessness, and the feeling of being stuck. Yet it is often here that the deepest shifts occur. Survival mechanisms become visible, long-held emotions surface, and the body begins signaling what can no longer be carried.

For me, this movement touches the essence of healing. Not fixing symptoms, but recognizing where you are holding onto what no longer fits and learning to trust a new way of living and choosing. It asks for awareness, feeling rather than only understanding, and releasing old patterns that once protected you but no longer match who you have become.

At the moment, this transition phase is central in my work. Supporting people who sense that something must change but are still finding their way. Bringing clarity to patterns, breaking old dynamics, and creating space for a life no longer based on survival, but on conscious, adult choices. It is often in this phase that the deepest growth emerges, when the system settles and clarity arises about what truly aligns.

In closing

If you recognize yourself in the themes of this newsletter or on the blog, know that you are not alone. Sometimes reading and reflecting already brings insight, and sometimes it helps to explore your personal situation together. You are very welcome to dive into the blogs for deeper understanding, and of course to book a session if you feel guidance would support your process.

With warmth, Hilde
